For many years, I have tried to understand why students end up in difficulties in mathematics. As a future teacher, it is extremely important to have knowledge of the various factors that leads to difficulties in mathematics. As a teacher it is obvious to meet the students who find mathematics a difficult subject, and, therefore it is necessary to have a broader knowledge of how to respond and support these students. According to Ahlberg, number of students with mathematics difficulties is increasing every year, therefore, it is important to help students and organize a supporting school environment that promotes and encourages learning (Ahlberg 2001, p. 104-105).

The ?good girl? is today an accepted and widespread notion. It is delimited to young girls and women who are characterised to be, for example, ambitious, high performing, working too much and risks developing mental illnesses. In today?s society women are assumed to pursue their career alongside maintaining the main responsibility for the household and family.

Vikten av att som närstående uppleva stöd och hjälp av distriktssköterskan beskrevs vara mycket positivt både för den närstående och av den sjuke, vilket också krävde nya kunskaper inom området. Syfte: Syftet var att belysa närståendes upplevelser vid palliativ vård i hemmet av en familjemedlem. Metod: Studien är en litteraturstudie och utförandet har varit att följa de nio stegen enligt Polit och Becks tillvägagångssätt för genomförandet av litteraturstudie. Utifrån nyckelord identifierades sökord som kombinerades vid sökning i databaserna Academic Search Elite, PubMed och CINAHL. Materialet analyserades genom traditionell innehållsanalys. Resultat: Resultatet baseras på tolv vetenskapliga artiklar och analysen resulterade i fyra huvudkategorier: välbefinnande, relationen till den döende, en förändrad livssituation samt den palliativa vården.

Syftet med denna deskriptiva litteraturstudie var att beskriva viktiga aspekter i omvårdnaden av ungdomar med anorexia nervosa och deras föräldrar ur ungdomars, föräldrars och sjuksköterskors perspektiv. De vetenskapliga artiklarna (n=16) hittades i databaserna Medline (PubMed), PsycInfo och Academic Search Elite (ASE) och samtliga genomgick en kvalitetsanalys. I resultatet framkom att det var viktigt att sjuksköterskor utvecklade goda relationsband med anorektiska ungdomar vilket låg till grund för en effektiv behandling. Genom motivation och stöttning kunde sjuksköterskor stärka anorektikerns självkänsla och på så vis lägga en bra grund för en verksam behandling. Sjuksköterskor behövde också sätta upp regler och vara kontrollerande för att hjälpa ungdomarna att hålla sig inom behandlingens ramar.

The purpose of this study is to investigate whether the new Swedish curriculum, GY11 brought with it changes to how non-religious world-views are presented in five different books in religious education, RE. The method used to analyze the material was a qualitative content analysis as well as counting the pages that dealt with secular world-views. This was later analyzed using philosopher Charles Taylors description and theory on secularization. This was used to identify secular processes as well as to define wether the books definition and description of secular world-views using Taylors concept of ?exclusive humanism?.The research questions are:? What are the authors writing about when describing the secular world- views?? What differences and similarities are there between the different editions prior and after the implementation of the new curriculum, GY11?? Are the secular world-views presented in a way that is compatible with Taylors concept of ?exclusive humanism??The results that are being presented are, first of all that the change between the different editions are not big.

AbstractJohannes Åberg 2012: Har längden betydelse? ? En kvantitativ studie av elevers textstrukturer.Does the length matter? ? A quantitative study of student text structures. Essay writing is one part of the national test in the school subject Swedish. Here the student gets the opportunity to demonstrate that it is able to follow instructions and produce a coherent text. The examinator's task hereby becomes a troublesome process with subtle distinctions between rights and wrongs.

Syfte: Syftet med studien var att beskriva vilka faktorer som kan orsaka risk för fel i samband med sjuksköterskans läkemedelshantering samt vad sjuksköterskan kan göra för att förebygga att fel uppstår inom den somatiska slutenvården. Syftet var också att granska artiklarnas kvalité utifrån urval och bortfall.Metod: En beskrivande litteraturstudie som baseras på 13 vetenskapliga artiklar med både kvalitativ och kvantitativ ansats. Litteratursökningen genomfördes i databaserna PubMed, Cinahl och Academic Search Elite. Resultat: Faktorer som orsakade att sjuksköterskan begick fel i läkemedelshanteringen var hög arbetsbelastning, bristande kunskaper inom farmakologi, mindre erfarenhet av sjuksköterskeyrket och avbrott i arbetet. Förebyggande åtgärder för att minimera risken att ett fel uppstod i samband med läkemedelshanteringen var att sjuksköterskan ökade sina kunskaper i farmakologi, bidrog till förbättrad arbetsmiljö och kommunikation med annan vårdpersonal samt var nogrannare vid kontroller.Slutsats: Flera förekommande faktorer som orsakade fel i samband med sjuksköterskans läkemedelshantering som hög arbetsbelastning och bristande kunskaper inom farmakologi borde inte vara svåra att förebygga.

I am in this essay to find out how to successfully combine new development with preservation of natural values, mainly large scale vegetation and ground formations.This is done by studies of three developments. The first development, Engeltofta backe, lies 7 km northeast of Gävle. The expectations of natural preservation were not fullfilled when this area, after the explotation, did not have any vegetation of value left. The second example, Östra Kvarnskogen in the community of Sollentuna, shows, as far as one can tell at the moment, a sucsessful combination of new development and preserved nature. The third example is a development in the community of Kullön. In this area the ambition of combining preservation and development was fullfilled. After studying vital documentation in each planning process, I made interviews with different actors in each of the three processes. I thereafter compared the different documents and answers from the interviewed persons to find out if there were any significant similarities or differences which could be of importence when natural values is to be preserved in new developments. My conclusion of this study is that it is of great importence to define key expressions often used in the process, such as natural values and preservation.

The aim of this study is to examine physical education teachers? and students? views on the thesis and its part in the physical teacher education program at The Swedish School of Sport and Health Sciences.Does the view on the thesis differ between techers/students and the program with its curriculum and other policy documents?What does students/teachers value in a thesis?Does teachers/students have a mutual habitus concerning the thesis in the form of essay writing and how is this expressed?The study is based on a qualitative survey in which the respondents mainly answered open-ended questions with written answers. These answers have been categorized and analyzed with the aims of the study and the previous research in mind. The views on the purpose of the thesis differ, both within the group teachers/students and to a certain degree in relation to policy documents. The value of the thesis differs within the group.

Sammanfattning   Bakgrund:                      Typ 2 diabetes är en   progressiv och omfattande sjukdom.    Sjukdomen kan ge många komplikationer om man inte hanterar den väl.   Aktiva livsstilsförändringar såsom anpassad kost och regelbundna motionsvanor   är betydande i behandlingen. Detta leder till ett positiv inflytande på   blodsockret och egenvården. Den teoretiska utgångspunkten som framkommer i   uppsatsen är Dorothea Orem omvårdnadsteori som ger en tydlig definition av begreppet   egenvård. Sjuksköterskan har en viktig roll i individernas hantering av   egenvård.

 SammanfattningIntroduktion:Sveriges befolkning blir allt äldre och därigenom ökar antalet demensdrabbade personer. Aggressivt beteende hos demenssjuka är vanligt och kan innebära ett lidande för dem. Vårdgivares förhållningssätt påverkar utfallet av omvårdnadshandlingar. Syftet: Syftet med studien var att belysa vårdgivarens förhållningssätt i omvårdnaden av demenssjuka personer med aggressivt beteende. Metod: Studien genomfördes som en systematisk litteraturstudie baserad på elva vetenskapliga artiklar utgivna mellan 2001-2011.

Syftet med denna undersökning är att ta reda på hur lärarens skriftliga respons uppfattas av elever och hur de arbetar med den samt hur lärare tänker kring skriftlig respons. För att finna svar har vi valt att använda en kombination av en kvalitativ och en kvantitativ ansats. Undersökningen har genomförts i form av två fallstudier i två olika utbildningsmiljöer. Undersökningen består av sammanlagt sex elevintervjuer, två lärarintervjuer och 41 deltagande elever i en enkätundersökning.Båda uppsatsförfattarna gör var sin fallstudie som innebär att intervjua en lärare och tre elever vardera samt genomföra en enkätundersökning. Undersökningen visar att eleverna i respektive fallstudie uppfattar den skriftliga lärarresponsen som positiv.

This paper is written to take a close look at teaching methods used at the Summer Academy (SHS), which is held at Södertörns Högskola in Stockholm. SHS is a subdivision of the institution of teaching education, which annually, during summertime, offers an eight-day program for pupils between 13-15 years of age, from different schools located in socio-economically disadvantaged suburbs of Stockholm. The intention of SHS is to give the participating pupils an insight into higher education, especially that of university. The purpose of the activities, such as field trips, guided tours and corporate visits, is to make pupils aware of their own responsibility for their educational situation through different methods of knowledge transfer, to diversify the means of the education, and to bring awareness to the array of possibilities which they have access to within the Swedish system of tertiary education.The study is based on six deep-interviews, three with pupils and three with student mentors. Together with 131 surveys from the course given during the summer of 2014, and theories of John Dewey on ?Learning-by-doing?, the results show that pupils participation in SHS give them a better understanding for, and knowledge about their own educational responsibility.Another question this paper seeks to address is how significantly the SHS program is changing the pupil?s experience of education in general and their view upon higher education specifically.

This essay examines the possibilities of writing a counter history about Anne Charlotte Leffler that does not have - like most of the previous studies and literary histories upon Leffler - the Swedish boundaries or the Swedish language as its model. That is to say that this essay, in opposition to most of the hitherto writings on Anne Charlotte Leffler, values the international reception as high as the Swedish reception. It does so by undertaking a case study based on the German review Deutsche Rundschau, which published six short stories by and three articles about Anne Charlotte Leffler between 1884 and 1894. The short stories and the articles in Deutsche Rundschau are compared with two other documents of reception that contribute to the understanding of the German reception of Leffler. The examination shows that the focus on the international reception can contribute to illuminate aspects of Anne Charlotte Lefflers authorship that previously have been disregarded.

The parrot is a common symbol, or even cliché, in Western literature, going all the way back fromancient Greece to the present date, and in many a genre. This study reads the oeuvre of the NobelPrize winner Samuel Beckett (1906-1989) as being closely related to these certain traditions andconnotations of for example religion, satire, and speaking nonsense, in his frequent use of parrotsand their symbolic potentials, in his writing. Furthermore, it is possible to distinguish a movementin Beckett?s use of parrots, from a more or less traditionally use, to one more philosophicallyprofound.Although the parrot graces us with its presence (or at least may be traced) in almost everywork written by Beckett, from the poem ?Whoroscope? (1930) to How It Is (1961), they are onlymentioned sparsely by his interpreters. Therefore, a brief history of the literary tradition of theparrot will be expounded.
