Iakttagelser har dock visat en minskad grad av fysisk aktivitet hos befolkningen. Könsskillnader har visats vara en faktor, män och kvinnor har ibland olika motivationskällor till fysisk aktivitet. Syfte : Syftet med den här studien var att beskriva vad som motiverar medelålders män till fysisk aktivitet. Metod : Genom att ha en litteraturstudie som metod var målet att få en fördjupning av det nuvarande kunskapsområdet som berör syftet. Studien har inkluderat 15 stycken artiklar från databaserna: Cinahl, Pubmed, Sciverse och Academic search elite.

The plants in the genus Elatine are characteristic for oligo and mesotrophic lakes. This study focuses on Elatine hexandra one of the four species in Sweden. It is stated as vulnerable by the National Environment Agency and a conservation plan with guidelines to preserve the plant in Sweden is under preparation. Bakgrund: Hjärt- och kärlsjukdomar är den vanligaste dödsorsaken för både män och kvinnor världen över. Symtomen kan skilja sig mellan könen och kvinnor får senare vård och behandling än män. Hälsan förändras efter en hjärtinfarkt och tiden efter är turbulent både fysiskt och känslomässigt för den drabbade kvinnan. Rehabiliteringsprogrammen som finns visar sig inte vara anpassade för kvinnors behov. Det behövs ett helhetsperspektiv i vården, då det finns brister i bemötandet mot kvinnliga patienter och informationsöverföringen till patienterna är otillräcklig.Syfte: Syftet är att beskriva kvinnors upplevelser av att leva med följderna av hjärtinfarkt.Metod: En litteraturstudie har genomförts med hjälp av sökord i databaserna CINAHL,  Academic Search Premier och Medline.

Stroke är en av de tre sjukdomar som årligen skördar flest antal vuxna liv ? endast hjärtsjukdomar och cancer dödar fler. Bara i Sverige drabbas cirka 20 000 personer per år. Av dessa 20 000 Personer, räddas förstås många till livet. Sjukdomen är dock sällan komplikationsfri utan leder oftast till en rad konsekvenser, vilka i sin tur kan vara bestående såväl som temporära.

Bakgrund: I dagens samhälle finns flertalet tekniska nyskapelser som hjälper barn i vardagen och leder till stillasittande vardag. Idag är barnen mindre fysisk aktiva för att bland annat föräldrar skjutsar barnen till skolan. Barn rekommenderas idag att vara fysiskt aktiva i 60 minuter om dagen för hälsosam livsstil vilken endast en av fem barn kommer upp till. Den fysiskt inaktiva vardagen har stora negativa effekter på hälsan bland annat fetma, cancer och diabetes. Syfte: Syftet med studien var att beskriva barns motivation till ökad fysisk aktivitet.

Bakgrund: Palliativ hemsjukvård är en växande vårdform i Sverige som ställer höga krav på involveringen av anhöriga. De anhöriga inom palliativ hemsjukvård befinner sig i en utsatt och omvälvande situation där vårdbördan kan upplevas mycket stor. Stödet från vården har en stor del i hur de anhöriga upplever situationen och ifall den sjuke kan erhålla vård i sitt hem. För att vården ska kunna stödja de anhöriga på ett lämpligt sätt krävs insyn i hur de anhöriga upplever sin situation.Syfte: Att beskriva anhörigas upplevelse av att ha en svårt sjuk närstående som vårdas med palliativ hemsjukvård.Metod: En litteraturstudie baserad på åtta kvalitativa studier publicerade mellan år 2002-2010. Använda databaser är CINAHL, PubMed, Academic Search Premier samt Nursing & Allied Health Source.

Introduktion: Våld i nära relationer är ett folkhälsoproblem. 12 422 fall av inomhusmisshandel i nära relation riktat mot kvinnor över 18 år anmäldes under 2010. I medeltal dör 30 kvinnor årligen i Sverige på grund av fysiskt våld. 17 av dessa dödas av sin nuvarande eller tidigare partner. Psykiskt våld kan utgöras av hot, kontroll samt trakasserier och kan vara svårt att identifiera.

The political and civil unrest during the last years of the First World War had a profound impact on the political life in many European countries. Academic research on the Swedish Social Democratic Party and the development of the parliamentary system during these years, often focus on the civil unrest and the mobilization of the labour movement during the spring of 1917, and the impact on Swedish politics of the Russian and German revolutions.This study is an examination of the relation between the Swedish labour movement and the Finnish Civil War of 1918. The general aim of the study is to examine how different levels and organisations of the labour movement acted in regards to the situation in Finland, and how these different levels and organisations interacted with one another. A second aim of this examination is to better understand during what kind of processes of the Swedish labour movement?s history that the Finnish Civil War occurred, and how it affected them.The conclusion of the study is that the there was a disparity between the leadership of the Social Democratic Party (SAP), which at the time was part of the Swedish government together with the liberal party, and the grassroots of the labour movement, organized in trade unions, and in the local organizations of the SAP and the Social Democratic Left Party (SSV).

Over a long period of time, there has been a rich debate in the academic and financial world if active management can generate an excess return. Many experts say that the current active management strategies is nothing more than a money grab that produces large gains, for banks and investment firms, through high management fees while producing no excess value for the individuals buying their service. In short, an effective market makes it almost impossible for fund managers to produce value for their clients in the long run.No argument has only one side though, other experts say that active management has a role to play because not all investors are rational. This irrationality can lead to mispricing on financial assets in the marketplace and in turn lead to an ineffective market where active management can fill a much needed role. The purpose of this study is therefore to see if active management strategies can create a higher risk adjusted return, taking management fees into consideration, during times of high volatility when the uncertainty is at its peak.

The aim of this master thesis is to analyze how and why Scandinavian-American history has been used in exhibitions in both Scandinavia and the United States after the end of the Great Migration. More specifically, the thesis deals with the Swedish and American exhibitions of the controversial Kensington Rune Stone, discovered in Minnesota in 1898. Despite the fact that its authenticity has been disputed by academic expertise, it has been displayed by many prominent actors. The Rune Stone is one of many purportedly pre-Columbian artifacts found in the United States. Moreover, it is an identity marker, harboring many kinds of identity constructions. The thesis therefore focuses on the meanings that the Rune Stone has been charged with since its discovery, as historical culture and in specific exhibits, on how it has been displayed, and on why it has been exhibited at  national museums in both Sweden and the United States. The principal source materials are five exhibitions of the Kensington Rune Stone.
