The main purpose of this essay is to examine, in what way the paintings by Karin Broosand Markus Åkesson are images of autentic situations and furthermore in what way themediespecific essence is performed photografically. Questions occuring: 1) How are thecreations of reality shaped in the two chosen photorealistical paintings? 2) In what waycan you distinguish the iconicity and indexicality in the paintings Den vita klänningenand The Passage? 3) How does the photografic presence occur in the paintings andfuthermore how can you distinguish the mentioned parts above according to thepaintings? The theoretical standpoint is based upon Charles Sanders Peirces ideasconcerning iconicity and indexicality. The methods used are based on thoughtspresented by Andrew Benjamin and Mieke Bal. The signs of iconicity and indexicalitycan be studied in various ways in the two paintings, depending on how abstract andobvious different parts occur in the paintings.

AbstractI denna c-uppsats har vi studerat vilka betydelser läxor kan ha i skolan utifrån en intervjustudie av fem pedagogers uppfattningar. Vi har gjort en kvalitativ intervjustudie och en litteraturstudie som står i relation till den kvalitativa intervjustudien. Pedagogerna funderade kring våra tre frågeområden; läxor och undervisningen, läxor kopplad till kunskap och läxornas funktion. Vår bakgrund och vårt resultat visar på att det finns många olika åsikter kring läxan och att det bland annat är svårt att ge en definition av läxan. Detta är problematiskt både för pedagogerna och för forskarna i vår undersökning.

AbstractSyftet med den här uppsatsen är, att ta reda på vilken betydelse elevernas laborationer under grund skolan senare år har, och om laborationer i kemi bidrar till utvecklingen av förståelsen av kemi. Vidare vill jag undersöka, om eleverna tycker att laborationerna är lärorika och förstår syftet med dem.Undersökningen utfördes som en kvantitativ enkätundersökning med tre klasser i årskurs nio i grundskolan. Grundskolan delar lokaler med gymnasieskolan, vilket bidrar till samordningsmöjligheter, samt att laborationssalar, och material är bra. Resultatet visar, att eleverna har likartade åsikter om laborationernas betydelse för förståelsen av kemi. Undersökningen visar också, att eleverna tycker om laborationerna och tycker att de är lärorika, samt att laborationerna bidrar till förståelsen av kemins teori.

Vår frågeställning har varit; Vilka förändringar har Lund's kommun gått igenom? Och; Hur kan man förstå dessa förändringar? Abstract: Private equity used to be synonymous with tremendous yields and rates of return. However, the private equity market trembled in 2008, due to the financial meltdown caused by the worldwide credit crisis. Considering the current low number of exits within the private equity industry, the purpose of this thesis is to examine if there has been any change in how private equity firms control their portfolio companies since the inception of the crisis. One private equity company and two portfolio companies have been studied. The case study is prepared from interviews with senior directors in the portfolio company and investment managers in the private equity firm.

AbstractThe purpose of this study is to deepen my knowledge in how teachers can teach pupils with reading and writing disabilities, and also find out how a co-operation with remedial teachers can look like.The study is based on qualitative interviews with two teachers and two remedialteachers.The study shows that the two teachers´ co-operation with the remedial teacher appeared to bedifferent. The teacher who had the longest work experience was the one of the two that had a co-operation with the remedial teacher, the other teacher who graduated in 2007 did not have any co operation at all with the remedial teacher.The study also showed that the teachers and the remedial teachers in the study had different opinions about what method to use for pupils with reading and writing disabilities, and that the LTG method was the one most frequently used .All the participants in the study agreed that reading and writing disabilities is a large area, andthat there is a large variety in difficulties among the students . Some of the difficulties the participants had experienced were problems with decoding, pupils that had problems with learning the letters..

Abstract The main purpose of this study was to investigate if and how the employees in elderly care experience stress and which underlying causes they understand to be important in their work situation. The purpose was also to investigate whether Karaseks and Theorells demands and control models could be used to explain the employees feelings of stress and to see in which categories the participants are in. Furthermore, the purpose was also to understand the participants work situation and to describe the factors and remedies the employees perceive to contribute to the stress levels at their workplace. 81 questionnaires were distributed at three different locations, two of which were in Ronneby and one in Örebro. 56 people answered the questionnaires.

Den här studien undersökte hur den rådande genusordningen tog sig i diskursiva uttryck i blogginläggen som studerades. Något som undersöktes genom att se hur det rådande synsättet i samhället kring manligt, kvinnligt och föräldraskap framställdes i texterna. För att undersöka det genomfördes en kritisk diskursanalys av blogginlägg från en mamma- och en pappablogg, analysen baserades på genusteori.

AbstractThe aim of this study was to investigate the reason why students contact adults if they are involved in any kind of bullying, what support they had received and wished for, as well as to investigate why student don?t contact adults. About of 150 students, 50 girls and 56 boys (70%) had experienced bullying of different kinds; some had more than one kind of experience. The students expressed that they had contacted adults when they ?felt unwell? and to ?stop bullying?.

AbstractDen här uppsatsen behandlar läxor, främst läxornas inflytande på elevernas fritid och därmed deras livsvillkor. Metoden som används är en kvantitativ undersökning med en enkät som elever i årskurs sju och årskurs nio besvarar. Syftet är att beskriva elevers läxarbete, elevers attityder till läxor och konsekvenser med ett utvecklat läxsystem vad gäller skolans undervisning i stort. Flera frågor behandlas och resultaten visar på att den oreglerade arbetstiden som läxorna medför är olika lång, och att den påverkar ungdomarna på olika sätt. En konsekvens som går att se är att eleverna frivilligt och ofrivilligt prioriterar bland läxorna.

AbstractThe purpose of this study is to clarify and analyze the servicescapes impact on brand image and customer loyalty among general dealers. The research question that we have used in the study is what characterizes the connection between the servicescape and the possibility to maintain and strengthen the customer relation among general dealers. The study is based on a qualitative approach and we have conducted eight interviews with experts and special advisers within the field. We have chosen to focus our study on the fact the market for general dealers have changed and the demands from the customers are severed throughout the years. The servicescape consists of the physical surroundings where the service is produced, examples of factors that influence the servicescape is the employees and the customers.

Abstract Syftet med den här uppsatsen är att ge en bild av hur ungdomar uppfattar socialtjänstens bemötande. Men även se vilka möjligheter respektive hinder det finns för ett bra möte. I teoridelen har vi använt oss utav Goffmans stigmateori, Beckers stämplingsteori, Mills teori om den sociologiska visionen och Foucaults teori om det disciplinära samhället. Vår empiriska undersökning består av åtta kvalitativa intervjuer, med ungdomar. Undersökningen har fokus på olika teman; bemötande, möte, hinder och möjligheter som återspeglar åtta ungdomars erfarenheter av den svenska socialtjänsten.
