Vårt syfte med denna uppsats var att undersöka den fysiska arbetsmiljöns relation till arbetstillfredsställelse samt självrapporterad hälsa. Fysisk arbetsmiljö sammanställdes till följande tre variabler: estetik, symbolism och ergonomi. En webbenkät med 35 frågor skickades ut till 162 anställda som var utplacerade på olika kontor inom ett medelstort företag i Sverige. Pearson korrelationstest utfördes för att se om det fanns något samband mellan variablerna. Resultatet visade att det fanns signifikanta samband mellan arbetstillfredsställelse och både estetik och symbolism.

Syfte: Studiens syfte var att undersöka samband mellan hur universitetsstudenter skattar sin fysiska aktivitetsnivå och hur de registrerar aktivitetsnivå med hjälp av dagbok samt att se om de kom upp i ACSM (American College of Sport Medicine) och WHO´s (World Health Organisation) rekommendationer.Metod: Studien hade en icke experimentell, deskriptiv och korrelerande design där 26 försökspersoner, två män och 24 kvinnor, rekryterades via anslag. De fick först svara på en enkät och därefter registrera sin aktivitet via en 7-dagars aktivitetsdagbok.Resultat: Studenterna ansåg inte att de hade en stillasittande livsstil och alla deltagare utom en ansåg sig komma upp till ACSM´s rekommendationer av fysisk aktivitet 30 minuter per dag av måttlig intensitet alla dagar i veckan. Trettiofem procent kom inte upp i WHO´s rekommendationer och av dessa överskattade 67% sin fysiska aktivitetsnivå. Sextiofem procent kom inte upp i ACSM´s rekommendationer och av dessa överskattade 94% sin aktivitetsnivå.Konklusion: Studenterna hade en låg fysisk aktivitetsnivå utifrån ACSM´s rekommendationer och majoriteten av de som inte levde upp till WHO och ACSM rekommendationer överskattade sin fysiska aktivitetsnivå. Det krävs dock mer omfattande studier för att dra några generella slutsatser då denna studie hade en skev könsfördelning och ett lågt antal deltagare.Keywords: Self-estimation, Perception, Activity diary, Physical Activity level, Overestimation. .

Background: Nerve mobilisation is a controversial subject which has undergone great development in recent decades. Nerve mobilisation is based on a concept of both examination and treatment of the nervous system. Purpose: To study nerve mobilisation as a treatment in physical therapy with emphasis on evidence regarding the method. Method: A literature review. The search was made through the databases: PubMed/Medline, Academic search, PEDro and CINAHL/webspirs.

Heart failure is a condition where the heart is incapable of providing adequate blood supply to different organs in the body. The underlying causes of heart failure is some kind of disorder in the heart function, and require careful diagnostics. The basic symptoms that arise from heart failure is difficulty in breathing, that aggravate when lying down, and fatigue. The patients? symptoms and impaired quality of life can be in different stages depending on the severity of the heart failure.

Huvudsyftet med den här studien var att ta reda på hur vi som pedagoger kan hjälpa barn som är i behov av särskilt stöd för att underlätta deras skolverksamhet. Vi ville även få ökad förståelse och kunskap om vad DAMP, ADHD, Tourette syndrom och Asperger syndrom är och hur de olika symtomdiagnoserna kännetecknas. Vi har genomfört kvalitativa intervjuer med nyckelpersoner inom detta ämne. Syftet med intervjuerna var att ta reda på hur intervjupersonerna anser att man ska arbeta med barn i behov av särskilt stöd i skolverksamheten. I undersökningen intervjuade vi en rektor, två specialpedagoger och två förskollärare.Vår slutsats är att det inte finns någon färdig mall för hur pedagoger skall arbeta med barn i behov av särskilt stöd.

Background: Hypochondriasis is associated with marked impairments in physical and psychological functioning, work performance and increased health care utilization. The prevalence among medical outpatients is estimated to be between 4,2 % and 6,3 %. Notwithstanding there is deficient research in this area. Until recently no specific treatment has been clearly demonstrated to be effective. Objective: The aim was to investigate experiences of what it is like to live with hypochondriasis, but also to examine different treatment options.

AbstractThis master thesis was performed at Scania transmission department in Södertälje, where the manufacturing of gears is done. Today a large amount of manual handling is performed between the machining and the hardening process. Most of the manual handling is done at the heat treatment department. The purpose of this master thesis is to give a suggestion on how to reduce or eliminate the manual handling at the heat treatment department. The possibility to use the same packaging throughout the processes will also be investigated.

This article presents a survey of male dogs treated with the gonadotropin releasing hormone (GnRH) agonist deslorelin (Suprelorin®, Virbac) at three animal clinics in central Sweden. Filled-in questionnaires from 110 dogs were received. The paper also includes a review of existing litterature concerning reproduction in male dogs, focusing on endocrinology, the effects of gonadectomy and the GnRH agonist deslorelin. Continuous treatment with deslorelin produces infertility in male dogs. The pituitary is initially stimulated by deslorelin leading to a rise in luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) secretion. As a consequence the testosterone levels also increase temporarily.

Gender in Administrative Court of Appeal - A discourse analysis of verdicts concerning compulsory drug treatmentThe purpose of this study was to examine gender discourses that could be identified inverdicts concerning compulsory drug treatment. A discourse analysis was conducted of 46verdicts from an administrative court of appeal, located in central Sweden. The main findingsof the study was that the descriptions of women, more often than men, are based on factorsother than their addiction, such as appearance and social environment. Men are in all casesdescribed by their addiction and on their own behavior. Women are presented as they riskvulnerability, while men are presented already suffer from vulnerability.

Assessing the emotional state in animals is important in order to establish the quality of their welfare, therefore it is important to investigate under what circumstances animals experience these emotions and to find indicators of their existence. The aim of this thesis was to detect possible behavioural indicators for positive emotions in dogs. These behavioural indicators could be helpful to increase both dogs? and humans? overall well-being in today?s society since they could help e.g. dog owners and caretakers to interpret behaviours displayed by dogs and their intentions so they can respond accordingly.The subjects used were 9 research beagles and each dog participated in three different treatments, assumed to be experienced as positive situations, where communicative interaction was initiated with the dog by engaging in 1) physical contact (P), 2) verbal contact (V) or 3) both physical and verbal contact simultaneously (PV).

SyfteSyftet med denna studie har varit att med hjälp av intervjuer undersöka hur skolpersonal och föräldrar uppfattar betydelsen av motorisk träning för barn med ADHD/DAMP. I detta ligger att undersöka på vilket sätt barnens motorik, koncentrationsförmåga samt sociala förmåga påverkas av fysisk aktivitet, och på vilket sätt diagnosen ADHD/DAMP ställer krav på pedagogiska förhållningssätt.MetodVi har gjort en litteraturgenomgång och en kvalitativ intervjustudiestudie. Urvalsgruppen från St: Örjans skolor har bestått av två pedagoger, en idrottslärare, en assistent och en förälder. Samtliga inom skolpersonalsgruppen hade många års erfarenhet inom området. Vi har använt oss av halvstrukturerande intervjuer som lagts upp utifrån följande temaområden: skolpersonal och förälders syn på fysisk aktivitet/motorisk träning för barn med ADHD/DAMP, den fysiska aktivitetens påverkan på barnen, förhållningssätt och bemötande samt barnet/barnens anpassningsförmåga till aktivitet.Resultat och slutsatsVad man kan urskönja av resultatet är att samtliga intervjupersoner i denna studie är ense om att fysisk aktivitet och motorisk träning är av stor betydelse för barn med ADHD/DAMP.Något som de intervjuade tryckte på var den fysiska aktivitetens betydelse för barnens sociala utveckling, här sågs idrotten som en viktig arena.

Septic tenosynovitis involving the digital sheath is a relatively common problem in the horse and the prognosis has been considered as poor. However, there are only few studies confirming this. The purpose of this study is to increase the knowledge about the prognosis for septic tenosynovitis in the digital sheath. The literature indicates that half or a bit more than half of the treated horses will return to previous use. The recommended treatment is debridement of the wound, lavage and sometimes application of drains and broadspectrum antibiotics. The prognosis is considered as worse when the infection is established.

This study examined parenting in relation to ADHD. The key point of the study was to let parents who experience an ADHD diagnosis share their view on parenting. The research required a comprehensive literature search, partly to examine earlier research in the particular field but also to gather information on parenting. One focus group interview and three semi structured interviews were used to gather relevant information. Informants were recruited from a project for individuals with neuropsychiatric disabilities.

Jumper´s knee is a common overuse injury due to repetitive microtrauma to the patellar tendon. It is especially common among athletes who are involved in sporting activities that involve jumping or fast running. The term jumper´s knee was adopted after Blazina published his original paper in 1973. Its pathology can be considered as a partial or total rupture of the patellar tendon in one of its three insertions. The aim of this literature study was to review the methods used to treat this condition and the results obtained focusing on pain relief and returning to previous sport or level of activity.
