In the near future we need to reduce the greenhouse gas emissions significantly for the benefit of the environment around us. The European Union has de-manded a variety of climate and energy goals to be achieved by year 2020, the ?20-20-20? targets. With these aims, The European Union means that we must reduce our emissions from fossil fuels and instead increase our renewable fuels. With stump harvest in the forest it?s possible to increase the use of renewable fuels and reduce our emissions from fossil fuels.

The objective with this essay is to establish the benefits of inserting media as an obligatory topic in the upper secondary school. In order to succeed with this I will not only type this essay I will also produce a medial production in the form of a film.  I have interviewed two senior masters on Södertörns College where I have reviewed different questions that relate to the matter's weight in school values and the society. Kroniskt obstruktiv lungsjukdom (KOL) är en folkhälsosjukdom, som förutsägs vara en av de tre vanligaste dödsorsakerna i världen år 2020. De symptom som följer är många och kan påverka patienten, både fysiskt och psykiskt. Oro/ångest är karaktäristiska symptom vid KOL och denna studies syfte var att beskriva icke-farmakologiska åtgärder vid detta tillstånd. En litteraturstudie inom ämnet genomfördes, utifrån Polit och Beck?s nio steg, där resultatet grundades på vetenskapligt granskade artiklar.

The municipalities of Sweden have a great responsibility when it comes to adapt the physical planning to a more sustainable development. The development of the society depends upon the growth of new communities and other public services, but to build new communities in a long-term sustainable manner you need good methods and guidance. This study presents four sustainability certification scheme intended to improve and adapt the planning, implementation and performance of new communities and infrastructure project to more sustainable methods based on economic, ecological and social sustainability. These systems are the latest versions of environmental classifications and similar rating schemes, but with a broader focus since they also include the social aspect of sustainability.This study aims to investigate what role sustainability certification schemes can play in local planning for sustainable development. The study compares the certification systems criteria to the tools and goals that the Swedish municipalities have been provided with, to lead efforts towards a more sustainable society.

Acupuncture has been used for thousands of years in China. Written documents concerning veterinary acupuncture has been found dated around 650 B.C. Acupuncture has gained greater acceptance in the western world the last decades and many countries have established their own veterinary acupuncture organizations. Many studies report good results after acupuncture treatment and back pain in horses is considered a good indication for acupuncture treatment. In studies published, the results are subjectively evaluated. To get a qualitative, scientific evaluation of acupuncture treatment, objective measurements, control groups and statistical analysis are needed. This pilot study presents a case where acupuncture has been used for treatment in a horse that was diagnosed with back pain.

Introduction: All women can be subjected to intimate personal violence by theirpartner, but the older woman's vulnerability to violence is not highlighted in research.Consequences of violence can be severe and it is essential from a public healthperspective to explore the issue even for the older woman. Objective: The objective ofthe study was to generate a deeper understanding of the problems of older woman'svulnerability to violence by their spouse / partner. The research questions focused onwhat characterized their situation and how a gender perspective can illuminate theproblem. Method: A structured search for scientific studies was carried out in thedatabases: Pubmed, Cinahl, PsykArticles and Scopus in the area of interest. A qualityassessment of the articles was preformed and 12 qualitative studies were included in thestudy.

I YS-NY studien (YTstridsfartyg NYtt) ingår långräckviddig precisionsbekämpning av markmål som en ny förmåga.Uppsatsens syfte är att belysa utvecklingen inom stridsdelsteknologin, och föreslå möjliga stridsdelsuppbyggnader förmarkmålsfunktionen. Arbetet börjar med att undersöka de politiska och militära förutsättningarna för att anskaffa ettmarkmålskoncept. Därefter belyses den framtida insats- och verkansmiljön, tillsammans med de idébilder som liggertill grund för Försvarsmaktens utformning, i avsikt att identifiera möjliga mål för konceptet. De tekniskautvecklingstrenderna för stridsdelar och en kort analys av olika framtida markmålsrobotsystem ger tillsammans medmålkatalogen uppslag till olika tänkbara stridsdelskonstruktioner. Dessa är baserade på kombinationsstridsdelar ochmodulära stridsdelar som är den troliga utvecklingen.

Retinoscopy, also known as skiascopy, is an objective method for assessing therefraction of the eye. This method has been used for a long time, both in animalsand human patients. According to the literature, it has been postulated that it is notnecessary to obtain cycloplegia before the examination in lower mammals. Someauthors even mention that it can make the examination more difficult. Therefore itis not recommended.

Enligt det så kallade fördubblingsmålet skall antalet resor med kollektivtrafiken fördubblas i Sverige fram till år 2020. För att nå upp till detta behövs inte bara investeringar utan även strukturella förändringar och nya sätt att tänka kring människors resande, ett synsätt som delas av myndigheter och forskningscentra på ett internationellt plan. I detta sammanhang anses det också viktigt att behålla yngre resenärer, vilket ställer krav på kollektivtrafiken att framstå som ett attraktivt alternativ till motordriven persontrafik. Här syftar det aktuella projektet till att bidra till en förstärkt resupplevelse i kombination med stöd för planering och genomförande av resor. Projektet tar avstamp i ett utnyttjande av modern informations- och kommunikationsteknologi samt i möjligheter inom Webb 2.0 att dela information.

This study is based on previous research concluding that sub-national actors now function on a complex arena where the nation state is not the sole and self-evident channel to the European Union. Based on that assumption, the thesis is intended to create understanding of the nature of the relationship between the West Sweden regional office and its Värmland commissioners in the case of regional action.The relationship between the regional office and its members was examined in a case study of open consultation around the EU?s new EU 2020 strategy. The questions posed in the thesis are answered by interviews with representatives of West Sweden and certain Värmland members of that organization. The results of the interviews were then analyzed based on a fusion perspective, which addresses various indicators for regional action.The results of the study show that the West Sweden regional office can assume a clearer role in regional influencing, but also that Region Värmland plays an important role in influencing the EU.

There's no doubt today that mankind has contributed to the changing climate byher use of fossil fuels. This must change in the nearby future. The Europeanleaders are expressing concern that renewable energy sources are not beingused to their full potential. The 2001/77/EC Directive on Electricity Productionfrom Renewable Energy Sources was accepted in 2001 to encourage thedevelopment of energy production from renewable sources, which isconsidered a step towards the fulfillment of the goal of the Union, that 12% ofthe gross energy consumption should come from renewable energy sources bythe year 2010.The objective of this thesis is to illuminate the common legislation of the EUregarding renewable energy with regard to goal fulfillment, judicial quality,conflicts with other goals of the EU and other faults.
