I denna studie undersöks den partipolitiskt aktiva kvinnans arbete och situation i den lokala frisinnade/folkpartistiska partiorganisationen i Gävle mellan 1930-1946. Delsyften är att beskriva relationerna dem emellan samt undersöka vilken betydelse som tillskrevs de aktiva kvinnorna.Teoretiska utgångspunkter för studien utgör genusteorin som ser manligt och kvinnligt som något socialt skapat och Yvonne Hirdmans genussystem som poängterar att det finns ett isärhållande mellan manligt och kvinnligt där det manliga är norm. Såväl sysslor som egenskaper delas upp i manliga och kvinnliga delar, där de kvinnliga har lägre status. Överenskommelser om hur man skall vara som man och kvinna och vad man skall göra varierar i olika tider och samhällen, Hirdman kallar detta för genuskontrakt. Det sker en förhandling mellan män och kvinnor om genuskontraktets innehåll, vilka områden respektive kön skall ha som sina och hur långt man kan sträcka det till sitt eget köns fördel.Tidigare forskning anger 1930-talet som en tid då kvinnor i Sverige generellt hade svårt att göra sig hörda och få inflytande i sina partiföreningar.

The value investing philosophy, which can be traced at least to the teaching of Graham and Dodd in the 1930?s, entails identifying and investing in potentially under valued stocks with a potential for extraordinary returns. The focus of this thesis is to identify patterns and characteristics in financial accounting data preceding creation of shareholder value. The authors of this thesis utilize a multivariate discriminant analysis in order to identify indicators of value creation and subsequent extraordinary returns in value stocks. A discriminant function is derived which successfully identifies which value stocks will eventually become growth stocks.

The purpose of this essay was to analyze the collapse of democracy in the Weimar Republic. This was done by analyzing some of the most turbulent crises in its history like the communists attempt to take power in 1919, the kapp-putsch of 1920, hyperinflation 1923 and the economic depression 1929-1933. The method that I used in this essay is called methodological individualism. It was an analytical framework which helped to understand the citizens view on democracy and legitimacy. The theoretical framework was based on Juan J.Linz and Seymour Martin Lipsets ideas on legitimacy and efficacy.

The purpose of this master?s thesis is to describe and analyse the origin and development of the municipal library of Västervik. There have been four previous libraries and our examination starts in 1859 with the foundation of a parish library. The other forerunners were a working-class movement library and two libraries in the International Orders of Good Templars. Before the merger of the libraries there were discussions in the municipal council, among the working-class movement and in the IOGT.

AbstractAre we always aware of our actions and the affect they have on our environment? With this study we are exploring a phenomenon, called Jantelagen, which have affected the Swedish society for a long time. It is a phenomenon that where brought to life officially in the 1930?s by an author called Aksel Sandemose. We want to know if Jantelagen still exist in the society or if it has faded to the degree that it is no longer in use.

Den här undersökningen ämnar kartlägga Svenska Skolornas Fredsförenings (SSF) fredarbete under 1920-talet, en ansats som inte tidigare gjorts på detta sätt. Medlemmarna i denna före­ning arbetade outtröttligt för en fredligare värld, där fredsfostran av unga sågs som den bästa metoden för att få till stånd en internationell varaktig fred. Syftet med undersökningen är att, genom en kvalitativ innehållsanalys av delar av SSFs bevarade tryckta skrifter, beskriva SSFs principer och pedagogiska metoder samt utröna varför de ansåg fredsfostran riktad mot skolan som viktig. Resultaten visar att SSF hade ambitionen att genom internationellt samarbete på­verka barnen i en sådan riktning att de aldrig skulle kunna ta till vapen för att lösa konflikter. Istället skulle barn lära sig att tänka kritiskt, vara självständiga och få en förståelse för andra folks kulturer.

Denna uppsats tar en titt på svensk arbetarlitteratur och hur den sett ut från 1800-talets slut till idag. Den försöker också gå igenom de olika sätt på vilka begreppen "arbetarförfattare" och "arbetarlitteratur" definierats under denna period. Utifrån detta, och med en marxistisk litteraturteori som utgångspunkt, tas sedan en närmre titt på tre verk, nämligen Moa Martinsons Kvinnor och äppelträd, Susanna Alakoskis Svinalängorna och Åsa Linderborgs Mig äger ingen. Genom att titta på de fyra områdena "arbete och identitet", "tal och tystnad", "att vara beroende av andra" och "framtidstro" och hur dessa framställs i de olika verken görs sedan en jämförande analys för att påvisa likheter och skillnader i arbetarlitteratur från 1930-tal och idag..

This study, a document analysis with a qualitative approach, explores children, under 18years, who have been subject to measures of child welfare in the city of Malmö during theyears 1935-1937. It also explores the school's role in this context. The questions that the studyis guided by is: How was children described in the Child Welfare documents in Malmö duringthe years 1935-1937? And what role did the school have in Child Welfare work and whatmotivated this? The theoretical approaches are Foucaults theories of power, control anddisciplining.It appears from the study that the school and child welfare authorities had a close cooperationwith the purpose to control the upbringing and disciplining of the children. It was through theupbringing that the deviant child would become a "normal", docile and good, industriouscitizen.

The purpose of this master's thesis is to describe and analyse the origin and development of the libraries in the town of Värnamo, between the years 1908 and 1960, when a new modern public library was inaugurated. The method I have used is, to a great extent, examining and analysing source material from the archive of the municipality in Värnamo and the popular movement in Jönköping. As a background to my study I describe the development of the Swedish society, from the end of the nineteenth-, until the middle of the twentieth century. I also describe the local development of Värnamo, during the same period. Furthermore I also give a general description of the progress of the libraries in Sweden during the same time.

Efter att olika inlånade organisationsmodeller från industrin under 1930 till 1960-talet visat på brister när det gäller organisation av hälso- och sjukvård, introducerades i slutet av 1960-talet primary nursing. Modellen bygger på en till en principen, 24-timmars ansvar och minimal arbetsdelning, vilket leder till att sjuksköterskor ser hela människan och bedriver en patientcentrerad vård. Den rådande organisationsmodellen påverkar sjuksköterskans upplevelse och därför har vi utifrån vårt syfte, att beskriva sjuksköterskans upplevelse av primary nursing, valt att göra en litteraturstudie. Med en kvalitativ innehållsanalys med manifest ansats har vi analyserat data från tio artiklar. Analysen resulterade i fyra kategorier: att känna ansvar och vara självständig, att samarbete och kommunikation är avgörande, att patienter och anhöriga är nöjda och trygga, att känna tillfredställelse i arbetet samt krav och hinder.

This master?s thesis will try to describe the beginning and development towards a modern public library of the town library in Karlskrona between 1906 and 1959. The specific years refers to the year the library was established and the year it moved to the new library building in the centre of Karlskrona. The aim of the thesis has been to do this historical description and to look at the course from the perspective of the national policies and development for the Swedish modern public library. The thesis is based mainly on reports of the proceedings of the public library and other biographical documents and literature, which has been found in two local archives.

This bachelor?s thesis studies Carl Str?mbergs ?ppeltr?dg?rd, a private garden consisting of a large number of apple trees and varieties. The garden is located outside ?rebro, in N?rke, and is owned by a unit owner association whose goal is to preserve and determine the varieties. Through interviews, articles, site visits and documents from Carl Str?mberg, the purpose have been to get an understanding of who Carl Str?mberg was, how he collected the apple varieties and how that process was affected by the climate amongst apple growing and pomology during that time.

The unheated greenhouse was originally a development from orangeries in the 1700th century and in 1930 and 1940 in blocks of greenhouses in the province of Scania. Today unheated greenhouses are used in permaculture, in the?eco villages? and in commercial culturing. Of the total Swedish commercial greenhouse area is today 8 % used as unheated greenhouses (SJV). This essay is based on the acceptance that unheated greenhouses will have a renaissance as production units. In the light of the today?s debate about energy ? and environment and the condition concerning this, the unheated greenhouse becomes an alternative. The purpose of this essay is to make an arguing synopsis about unheated greenhouses for using in acting as teacher, consultant and inspirer and also for taking part of the acceptance as ?for? or ?against?. The information is based on literature studies and information gathered with the keywords unheated greenhouse, coolhouse, coldhouse, greenhouse, type of greenhouse, orangery, greenhouse cultur, swedish greenhouse culture and permaculture, data gathering through SCB/SJV and by interviews with persons in the garden branch. My conclusion is that the unheated greenhouse could have a renaissance as a production unit. In this context it is important to give cultivators of greenhouses with experiences of unheated greenhouses great possibilities to share their knowledge, and through education possibility to change attitudes concerning unheated greenhouses. .
