This work is based on qualitative interviews with four educationists who before their university studies lack education in their own field of work. The study aims to explore how higher learning influenced and affected these people. As a theoretical point of view the concept of implicit learning and Aristotle?s epistemological approach was used. The study gives an idea that the concept of knowledge is advanced and can go from practical experience to more theoretical understandings.

The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) proposes vibration standards for the evaluation for machine damage due to vibration in rotational machines, where some vibration parameters are given to measure the vibrationgrade. This work evaluates the relevance of the vibration standards in hydro plants that are proposed by the ISO, and also investigates if there are methods used in other countries could have greater importance. Through statistical analysis of collected data we got a better understanding of relation among different vibration parameters, and also the importance of correct choice of the parameters for the evaluation of vibration. We have found that the vibration standards available today in hydro plants are not reliable for the judgment of vibration?s grade.

The consumption levels in Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Norway have been rising fo r the last decade. Even after the financial crisis of 2008, consumption levels continued their upward trend, regardless of the recession. The explanation seems to be, at least partly, that households tends to increase their debt ratio in order to continue the same standard of living as before in terms of consumption. It is clear, based of our results, that there is a connection between increased consumption and debt ratio for households. And the consequences of allowing loans to finance a sustained or increasing consumption may ultimately be difficult to manage.

Underhållsavdelningen söker ständigt nya vägar att höja standarden på den tjänst som levereras för att möta kundens önskemål om mesta möjliga körtid i maskinerna.Underhållsarbete delas upp i förebyggande och akut underhåll. Förebyggande underhållsarbete betyder att maskinen stängs av under en bestämd tid vid ett planerat tillfälle. De åtgärder som utförs syftar till att förbättra maskinens kapacitet och livslängd. Akut underhåll betyder att maskinen går sönder när den egentligen ska vara i drift.

Varje år ökar avfallsmängden och användningen av naturens resurser vilket gör att återvinning blir en viktig del för ett hållbart samhälle. Årligen dumpas mer än 6,4 miljoner ton plast i haven från fartyg. Den 1 januari 2013 skärptes regelverket MARPOL för att minska mängden avfall som slängs i havet. Mot denna bakgrund har syftet med studien varit att undersöka hur motivationen att sortera kan påverkas av antalet avfallsfraktioner i hamnarna. En kvalitativ metod med sju intervjuer har använts.

Projektets syfte var att undersöka en nyframtagen värmeväxlarpanels kyl- och värmeeffekt. Arbetet utfördes åt företaget Panelito i en av Chalmers Fastigheters lokaler där paneler monterades. Vid testerna mättes temperaturer och flöden på luft och vatten in och ut ur systemet under en timmes tid per test.Avgränsningar som gjordes var att testerna inte utfördes enligt ISO-standard, vilket skulle innebära en sluten kammare, stationära förhållanden och noggrant kalibrerad utrustning med mycket små mätfel. Det togs heller inte hänsyn till tryckskillnader i luftsystemet.Kyleffekten blev som bäst 83.0 W och värmeeffekten blev som bäst 211.9 W. Resultaten jämfördes med en annan typ av vanligt kylsystem, kylbafflar.

För att Swepart Transmission AB ska fortsätta att hålla en hög standard på produkter som levereras till kunder, ska monteringslinan för Power Take-Off säkras. Budgeten som är avsatt till att kvalitetssäkra monteringslinan är 500 000 kr. Pick-to-Light och Pick-to-Voice är system som kan användas för att kvalitetssäkra monteringen av Power Take-Off. Systemen jämfördes med systemet med monteringskort som används i nuläget. Det mest lämpliga att införa har visat sig vara Pick-to-Light.I samband med införandet av detta system måste utredningar göras för vilka komponenter som behöver sensorer och vilka som kan säkras på andra sätt.

Arbetet med miljöfrågorna är svåra att strukturera och därför har olika internationella miljöstandarder skapats. SS-EN ISO 14000 är en serie internationella miljöstandarder, som i dagligt tal kallas ISO 14000 och i denna standard ingår ISO 14001 vilken kan användas som grund vid uppbyggandet av ett miljöledningssystem och det är införandet av denna som analysen vilar på. Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka vilka hinder som kan uppstå vid införandet av ISO 14001-standarden. Även att identifiera vilka lösningar som finns att tillgå gällande hindren. Dessutom utforskas vilka de olika incitamenten är som driver en verksamhet till att vilja integrera miljöfrågor bland övriga beslut.

They were very positive to this proposition, and soon they offered us a project regarding reconstruction of their current mechanical device that absorbs all the force from the lift itself when it is at a predefined level (sv. sjunkspärr). The current solution does fulfill the requirements that are given, however it is not a solution that gives a high level of satisfactory.

This report is focusing on problems with introducing standard enterprise resource planning systems (ERP) in businesses. A study has been carried out on a service and support department at a Swedish heat metering company, SVM North Node. The study aims to help the company become a better customer in choice and customization of a new ERP system. We make a description of the department studied and the work carried out there, on the basis of learning, knowledge and cooperation. As a final point we present some ideas on how computer systems could support their work, hoping that this will result in them making adequate demands on a new ERP system..

Examensarbetet utfördes på uppdrag av ABB i Ludvika. ABB vill öka effektiviseringen förhanteringen av inkommande gods. Detta för att det mesta sker manuellt i dagens läge och det tarmycket tid och kan resultera i felkällor.Arbetet har två syften. Det första syftet är att förändra del av verksamheten, genom att kommamed ett förändringsförslag när det gäller godshanteringen. Det andra syftet är att jämförastreckkoder och RFID för att se vilket alternativ som passar bäst.För att få fram ett förändringsförslag har vi jobbat med FA/SIM-metoden.Vi har tagit fram ett antal förändringsförslag nedan följer ett urval av dessa:? Ställa krav på leverantörerna att de skall använda streckkoder med rätt standard Code128.? Utforma tydliga och enkla kravspecifikationer för att enklare kunna ta till sig.? Förbättra nuvarande kundrelationer.

In this paper I study how the repeal of the Swedish wealth tax (1 of January 2007) has affected people´s labour supply behaviour. This particular issue is relevant because it may help us understand some of the effects of the earnings tax changes that have taken place in Sweden. Accoring to standard economic theory a repealed wealth tax is similar to an income effect for the persons who previously paid the tax. That means that they theoretically will want to consume more leisure, that is decrease their labour supply. The method I am using to test this hypothesis is a difference-in-difference approach where the treatment group consists of persons who previously paid the tax and the control group of comparable persons who did not pay the tax.

Due to the decrease in obtaining driver?s licenses among young people, the main purpose of this study was to acquire a deeper understanding of young people?s attitudes towards driver?s license and towards driver?s education. This is a qualitative study with a theoretical approach, which combines Bourdieu with post modern theories. By using focus groups a wide rage of attitudes among young people have been gathered. Having a driver?s license is still considered a standard among young people even though their attitude mostly depends on their need for one.

In connection with the property crises in many countries, caused by the financial crises, people are now more aware of the risks involved in poor property-investments. The unusually cold winters along with extreme prices of electricity in Sweden in recent years has also contributed to increased interest in energy-efficient buildings.The process of developing a modern family home in Kiruna, Sweden is presented the first part of this paper. The house has been designed to withstand very high stresses from snow, low energy consumption as well as a high standard of living comfort. Aspects of the house covered here involves everything from construction, heating and ventilation to sanitation. Each of these areas is presented based on their underlying, scientific methods or theories.
