GE Healthcare operates in Uppsala (Sweden) and develops systems, equipments and medium to purify medical substances. Discussions with the local authority concerning planed far-reaching changes and upgrades of the biological process techniques for sewage management, aroused the question about revising the terms of permit for the activity. Therefore it seemed necessary to evaluate a newly installed biological process technique, which is the background of this thesis. The evaluated biological treatment process was built in 2003 and consists of a biological reactor filled with moving bed carriers with a high surface area for biological growth. At the time of the project the biological wastewater treatment plant consisted of a flow equalization facility and two following parallel biological processes; a biological reactor with moving bed carriers and a tower trickling filter.The aim of this thesis was to survey the function of the biological reactor with respect to the reduction of organic matter.

The ability of a dog to perform some kind of practical work, for example hunting or herding, depends among other things on its behavioural characteristics. In animal breeding it is not always easy though to select for behavioural traits. It may, for example, be difficult to identify traits that are not only heritable but also of importance for the dogs' ability to perform the practical work of interest. Moreover, it is often difficult to accomplish accurate measurements of behavioural traits. When selecting dogs for breeding, it is usually preferable to evaluate them using an objective and standardized bahavioural test, rather than results from field trials.

This paper is a study of documentary film production with focus on the filmmakers choice and usage of sound equipment. Using professional articles and literature have first of all helped us determine a standard for the conventional use of sound equipment in documentary film. Afterwards, by analyzing our own interviews we?ve received answers on how filmmakers relate to the conventional usage and why they select equipment as they do. Thereafter, we describe a technical method which helps a filmmaker to be able to record sound for documentary film on his/her own, using simple measures without reducing quality.

Förslaget att slopa revisionsplikten för små företag i Sverige är ett högaktuellt ämne som berör många olika grupper i samhället så som revisionsbyråer, små företag, kreditgivare och Skatteverket. I april 2008 lämnades ett delbetänkande från Statens Offentliga Utredningar som föreslår att 96,5 procent av Sveriges företag ska tillåtas att slopa revision. Uppsatsen fokuserar på hur stora revisionsbyråers verksamhet kommer att påverkas eller redan har påverkats av en lagförändring samt hur arbetsfördelningen mellan redovisning och revision förväntas förändras. Författarna har intervjuat revisorer på Sveriges fyra största revisionsbyråers lokala kontor i Jönköping. För att få en uppfattning om hur branschen anpassar sig till lagförslaget presenteras information om auktoriserade redovisningskonsulter och Standard för redovisningskonsulter samt att förhållandet mellan redovisning och revision förklaras.

Industrialiseringen orsakade urbanisering och bostadssituationen i landets storstäder var oduglig.År 1965 blev startskottet för genomförandet av miljonprogrammet vilket innebar att en miljon bostäder skulle byggas under en tioårsperiod. Målet med programmet var att trångboddheten och bostadsbristen skulle byggas bort.Idag har de tidigare problemen med bostadsbrist har återigen uppstått och situationen har blivit mer och mer kritisk i Sveriges större städer, särskilt i Storstockholm.Det är framförallt tre faktorer som påverkar bostadsutformningen; politik, ekonomi och familjekonstellationer. Utifrån dessa faktorer presenteras förslag på fyra typer av flexibla framtida.

The building industry consumes approximately 40 % of the total energy consumption in Sweden, where the using stage is dominating with 80 %. There is a lot of work in progress to reduce energy use in the building industry, and the demands from authorities regarding energy use increases. As a part of this work Building and planning department of Sweden has established a requirement that has been applied since 2006, and restricts a maximum energy use for buildings.The requirement includes that an energy simulation must be done in advance to demonstrate that it is possible to meet the demands.Reality is however more complex than an energy simulation program, that frequently underestimates the energy use of buildings. The purpose of this thesisis to study and analyse deviations between estimated and actual energy use in modern apartment buildings. The study includes four apartment buildings in Stockholm, Gothenburg and Jönköping that were built in 2007-2009.

En brotyp som är vanlig bland brokonstruktioner är plattrambron. Denna brotyp byggs både med slak- och spännarmering. Det är dock vanligare att bygga med slakarmering än spännarmering, vilket övervägs särskilt då spännvidderna är ungefär 25- 30 meter eller mer. Inledningsvis har en noggrann litteraturstudie genomförts tillsammans med en intervju av en kunnig brokonstruktör för att säkerställa en interaktion mellan teori och aktuell praxis. Detta arbete har haft ett huvudmål, vilket är att ur ett struktur- och kostnadsperspektiv jämföra och utvärdera hur behovet av slakarmering varierar i en plattrambros farbana då spännvidder varieras och betongtvärsnitt ändras.

The purpose of this study is to achieve an understanding of how a CE- marking process is conducted and to identify the relevant factors that must be considered in such a process. We have conducted our study at Lo?vhults Svets & Smide AB (Lo?vhults) in Skruv, Sma?land Sweden, which are manufacturing brackets for small covering constructions.To understand how a CE-marking process is conducted several documents and provisions have been reviewed to achieve a basic understanding and insight of the subject. It thus led to that guideline ETAG 015 were studied and the factors to be considered in the CE-marking of brackets were identified. Together with Jan-A?ke Johansson at Lo?vhults we agreed on four different brackets to investigate for a potential CE-marking.
