The aim of this thesis is to study what conceptions of literature that are present in the teacher magazine Svenskläraren between the years 1985 and 2012. In other words: what is the underlying view on literature's value as a teaching aid and why should we study it in school? I relate my analysis to previous research about the use of fiction in education. A critical methodology has been used to study the material. In my results I distinguish three conceptions of literature that are present in Svenskläraren.

Hantering av regnvatten på ett hållbart sätt är en av flera strategier som behöver utvecklas för att bygga resilienta städer. I detta projekt undersöks relationen mellan vatten och vegetation och de unika förutsättningarna detta ger för gestaltning. Genom en fördjupad studie av naturlika biotoper, främst olika typer av klibbalskogar, har jag samlat material som tecknar sambanden. Detta material fungerar som bakgrund till ett förslag till utforming av en öppen dagvattenhantering med särskilt fokus på träd i en befintlig stadsmiljö. Genom en kort introduktion till Köpenhamn kommuns strategiska klimatarbete med dagvattenhantering i Klimakvarter på Østerbro förhåller sig detta småskaliga projekt till ett större sammanhang.

During the last decade working with competence has emerged as a more strategically important area. Today the human resources in a company are considered a competitive advance and the HR-units play a significant role when it comes to HR-management. Different motives for investing in strategies that promote competence development and learning also exist. The purpose of this paper was to examine how the process of competence development was managed at a large global company. The empirical material consisted of four persons who were interviewed and the analysis of the material was inspired by grounded theory.From the analysis four major themes or core factors emerged as central to the interviewed persons' understanding of the competence development process; solid preparatory work in relation to competence development, communication, awareness of responsibilities and finally the taking action and evaluation of the action.

Aim: The purpose of this paper is to see if there has been a change over time in the performance and in the spoken word of the Swedish cooking programs. By testing the theory of intimization on the cooking programs I get the opportunity to see if the border between the private and the public have become clearer or more difficult to notice, and if the new language, the informal language as intimization entails, has been used in Swedish cooking programs since the 70s until today, or if there´s ever been a formal language in Swedish programs? Method/Material: I'm using a rhetorical approach that includes a three-step analysis. Analysing the context, means to persuade and performance. The empirical material I intend to analyze is Swedish cooking programs from the 70s until today, 2010.

Med globalt ökat klimathot och ett ökat användande av biologiskt nedbrytbara material för att bland annat driva vår motorpark och värma våra hus kommer även ett krav på ökat produktion av utsläppsreducerande (koldioxid CO2) material så som biobränsle.För att kunna reducera utsläppen krävs inte bara att vi ökar produktionen av biologiskt nedbrytbart ämnen utan att dessa material har de egenskaperna som de förbränningssystem de används till optimalt kräver.Ett av de biologiskt nedbrytbara materialen är biobränsle, framställt av skogsavfall (grot). Dess hantering ifrån avverkningstillfället tills in- transport till förbränningen har varit kärnan i detta arbete. De två grundfrågorna som har varit själva motorn i arbetet har kretsat kring;o Vem äger vad i olika hanteringssteg?o Vem vet vad i olika hanteringssteg?Syftet med denna undersökning var att bland annat försöka få reda på svaren på frågorna ovan men även att väcka ett ökat intresse och förståelse kring hanteringen av biobränslet från avverkningstillfället fram till in- transport till en terminal alternativt direkt in till panncentralen.Undersökningen gjordes genom en enkätundersökning på Internet. Enkäten skickades ut till berörda parter i Sverige per e-post och adressaterna kunde svara direkt i datorn och skicka tillbaka enkäten utan att skriva ut den.

I det här arbetet har jag undersökt hur fiollärare med förankring i folkmusiken undervisar samt vilka eventuella områden som de lägger vikt vid och varför. Jag valde att göra en kvalitativ intervju med fem informanter. Mitt mål var att välja fiollärare med utbildning från musikhögskola, men för övrigt med så varierande bakgrund som möjligt. Jag har ställt intervjusvaren mot några klassiska fiolmetoder. Jag har inte kommit fram till några nya perspektiv eller infallsvinklar i folkmusikundervisningen.

Fish-head pendants are one of the characteristic Gotlandic Late Iron Age artefacts. This object has been rather neglected and mainly considered as an insignificant embellishment, normally worn as a neck-collar and seen as an artefact include in the typical Gotlandic set of female jewellery.The fact that the fish-head pendant has a very long life span, which stretches from grave-finds in the Early Vendel Age to hoards in Viking Age as well as secondary usage as brooches in the Early Middle Ages, makes the artefact an excellent starting point for discussions on social practices and change through material culture. It's shown in this study that, contrary to previous beliefs, the normal usages for fish-head pendants is as solitary pendants and not as neck-collars. Neck-collars is shown to have an intricate relation to inhumations for young individuals, whereas solitary pendants are found in cremation deposits for adult individuals, something that relates to a fixed social practice mainly in the period 700-900 AD and that develops from the cremation funeral practice. This particular social practice relates to aspects of attraction and protection and continues in to the 10th century outside of funeral structures, which is shown by the composition of hoard-finds from the 10th century, but is totally absent when the pendants is given a secondary usage as brooches in the end of the 11th and beginning of the 12th century.

Syftet med undersökningen har varit att belysa vad pedagoger har för syn på sin roll i bildochformskapande verksamhet i förskolan. Vi har funnit det viktigt att alla som arbetar iförskolan skall vara väl insatta i hur arbetet med bild- och formskapande kan påverka barnsutveckling. Vårt tillvägagångssätt för insamling av material har bestått av sex kvalitativaintervjuer med förskollärare som är verksamma i tre olika kommuner i södra Sverige.Resultatet har visat på att pedagogerna ser sin roll i bild- och formskapande som väldigtbetydelsefull. Genom att vara stöttande och utgå från barnen kan det ske både personlig- ochkunskapsutveckling hos barnen. Även pedagogernas utveckling är viktig eftersom det är desom ger barnen förutsättningarna för att utvecklas.

Ett pedagogiskt material om träd i vår närmiljö har tillverkats och testats i en barngrupp med 22 barn och tre pedagoger. Studiens syfte var att söka svar på förskolebarns tankar om träd som fenomen, både före och efter att materialet testats och om deras tankar eventuellt förändrades. Pedagogernas syn på materialets användbarhet inom förskolan har varit en del i utvärderingen kring materialets användbarhet.  Intervjuer med både barn och pedagoger har genomförts. För att ta del av deras olika tankar har studien haft en fenomenografisk ansats.

Is it possible to convey spirituality through art and material culture? Is it possible to renew art within the traditional church so that it appeals and is understandable for the modern man? These are the fundamental questions of my master´s work, which has it´s starting point in a public commission for an artistic contribution to the new Pentecostal church in Kalmar. The work also addresses the question whether there is a need for symbolism, art and sacred objects also within the Pentecostal movement, a traditionally strong image hosting environment. If so, how is it possible to bring this in to the church without completely breaking with the tradition and ideology of the movement? I want to communicate the Christian message in a renewed way, and in this particular project also highlight the importance of using images also within the Pentecostal movement.

The purpose of this case study is to demonstrate how societal mechanisms can impact on asylum seekers and influence their individual identity. The information for this case study was collected through comprehensive interviews with a group of asylum seekers from Söderhamn whereby the individuals expressed their perception of their current situation. From the gathered material we could see a pattern emerge which gave us the framework and the foundation for our theoretical approach. The similarity we discovered when analyzing the material was the powerlessness the individuals experienced e.g. the individuals had no possibility to influence their current situation and worse, it was impossible for the individuals to enter society even when they had the willpower to do so.

Arbetet gjordes i samarbete med Ka of Sweden där uppgiften varit att framställa enbättre passform för blusar i vävt material. Den nuvarande passformen saknar en brabystanpassning och har liknande ärmhål bak och fram. Jag valde att arbeta fram denteoretiska delen först och sammanställa måttlistor för att sedan arbeta fram denempiriska delen med konstruktioner, avprovningar och färdigt första prov.Resultatet av mitt arbete blev mycket bra och det har varit kul att få arbeta mot ett företag.The work was done in collaboration with the Ka of Sweden where the task was to produce a better fit for the blouses of woven material. The current fit does not have a good bust adjustment and have similar armhole front and back. I chose to work out the theoretical part first and compile lists of measurements and then work out the empirical part of constructions, fittings and finished the first sample.

Smärt och rehabiliteringenheten på Universitetsjukhuset i Linköping har efterfrågat en webbapplikation som ska fungera som ett supplement till den traditionella rehabiliteringsplanen som finns för att hjälpa patienter. Webbapplikationens huvudsakliga mål är att förbereda patienter för kommande rehabilitering och även vara ett verktyg för kommunikation och hjälpmedel både under och efter rehabiliteringen. Vårt examensarbete har gått ut på att utveckla plattformen MERIT, "Min egen rehabilitering på Internet". Plattformen är webbaserad och uppbyggd efter MVC mönstret med hjälp av PHP-ramverket CodeIgniter. Behandlare har själva möjligheten och ansvaret att skapa det material som ska delgivas patienterna på både individuell och gruppnivå.

There are many children in Sweden today, approximately 200 000, who have parents or a parent that abuses alcohol or other drugs. The aim of this study was to investigate how group leaders in support groups for children with addicted parents relate to this sort of support groups. What are their advantages and disadvantages, according to the group leaders?The method used was qualitative and the empirical material was collected through group interviews. We have interviewed eight persons who are social workers and the interviews were carried out at three work places.
